Later, the publication Ansa writes, it was discovered that the victim is the banker Alexander Adarich, born in Ukraine and holder of Romanian citizenship.

According to Corriere della serra, one of the hypotheses considered is that Adarich, former owner of Fidobank, was called to Milan to conclude a deal.

The police have opened a murder case and are trying to reconstruct the facts. They are also trying to identify the people who were with him in the apartment.

Investigators are looking for several suspects, including a mysterious man seen by the front desk woman after the tragedy, who quickly disappeared, and other individuals who were in the apartment before the incident. There is suspicion that the death was disguised as suicide.

Several fake documents with the victim's photo were also discovered in the apartment, seized by the police. The banker's wife did not provide many details to the police.

Alexander Adarich had an important career in the Ukrainian banking system, from his beginnings at PrivatBank to leading UkrSibbank, which he transformed into a national financial group with links including to BNP Paribas.

Between 2012 and 2020 he owned Fidobank, later moving his business to Cyprus. His tenure was also marked by controversy, including allegations of embezzlement, which led to the bank's liquidation.

Later, his interests were linked to offshore companies and the Odesa port area.

His presence in Milan, in an unofficial context, remains unexplained, as does his victim profile, his rapid rise to the highest levels and subsequent moves outside of Ukraine in the very tense years of the war with Russia.
