December's MPC vote: Tyrowicz wanted a sharp increase

In December, the Monetary Policy Council rejected Joanna Tyrowicz's request to increase rates by 150 basis points. – stated on the website of the National Bank of Poland.


Earlier, the Court and Economic Monitor reported that Tyrowicz voted against reducing interest rates by 25 basis points in December, while the remaining 9 members of the Monetary Policy Council voted for the resolution on cutting the cost of money on this scale – to 4.0%. for the reference rate.
Earlier in November, the Monetary Policy Council rejected Tyrowicz's request to increase rates by 125 basis points, in October by 100 basis points, in September by 75 basis points, and in July (no decision-making meeting of the Monetary Policy Council in August) by 50 basis points.
