The farewell message left by the doctor found dead in her apartment in Bucharest

A 39-year-old doctor, appreciated by patients and colleagues and with a solid career in one of the largest private clinics in the Capital, was found breathless in her own home. Three words written on a note – “I'm sorry”, they steered the investigation in a painful direction.

“I'm sorry” is the farewell message left by radiologist Viviana Niță, who had excellent recommendations from patients. According to the first data, the woman would have resorted to an extremely harsh method to end her days. Police checked the apartment to make sure it wasn't a murder, but found no signs of forced entry or violence.
Sources close to the investigation say that the doctor was found with a bag on his head, fixed with a cord, and next to the body was the farewell note. In the home, more drugs were also identified, which could indicate that the woman ingested a large amount of pills, according to observatornews.ro.
The discovery made by the ex-husband
The doctor would have gone through a difficult period after the divorce and was depressed. It was her ex-husband who found her lifeless. He had tried to get in touch with her, and when he got no response, he went to the apartment and entered the home.
Although she lived a lonely life, in front of the neighbors she kept the appearance of a fulfilled woman.
Neighbor: “She was very well, she was happy. I recognized her from the picture, that we were with the puppy here, in the park”.
Reporter: “Would you have seen her capable of such a thing?”
Neighbor: “No, no, no, she was optimistic.”
The case brings back to the discussion a painful phenomenon. According to the latest World Health Organization report, one in three doctors suffer from depression or anxiety, a rate five times higher than in the general population.
