The Reuters agency reported, citing a Telegram channel called Pul Pervogo, that Emmanuel Macron and Alexander Lukashenko talked, among others, on Belarus's relations with the European Union and France. The same information about the content of the conversation was provided by the press service of the Belarusian dictator. Puł Perwogo is the official channel related to Alexander Lukashenko's media service.

Macron's conversation with Lukashenko took place after Russia carried out further indiscriminate shelling of Ukrainian territory, specifically targeting Kiev. At the beginning of the invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, Belarus allowed Russian troops to launch an attack from its territory into the northern part of Ukraine towards Kiev. In mid-May this year. The president of Ukraine warned that Russia intends to drag Alexander Lukashenko's country into a war against Ukraine. He added that he was considering an attack from Belarus on one of the NATO countries.

Volodymyr Zelensky also explained that the Ukrainian services note attempts to involve Belarus in the war and that this is evidenced by additional contacts between Lukashenko and the Russians. The President of Ukraine ordered the army and special services to strengthen defense in the Belarusian direction and develop a response plan to these possible actions.
