In 2025, Russians began to buy less vodka and wine

In 2025, vodka sales in Russia decreased by 3.6% compared to the previous year and amounted to 73.315 million deciliters. At the same time, sales of alcoholic beverages increased by 12.7% and reached 18.808 million deciliters, according to data from Rosalkogoltabakkontrol.
At the same time, sales of cognac decreased by 9.2%, to 12.853 million deciliters. The sales volume of low-alcohol products fell by 87.3% and amounted to 1.526 million deciliters. In general, sales of alcoholic beverages with alcohol content above 9% decreased by 1.1%, to 119.979 million deciliters.
Sales of grape wine in 2025 decreased by 1.9% and amounted to 56.004 million deciliters. Sales of sparkling wines decreased by 3.2%, to 22.771 million deciliters, and liqueur wines – by 10.7%, to 1.154 million deciliters.
In total, sales of alcoholic beverages in Russia in 2025 amounted to 205.798 million deciliters, which is 9.3% less than the 2024 figure.
