The PNL president, interim prime minister Ilie Bolojan, was already on Wednesday morning, June 3, for talks with the head of state, according to sources cited by News.
Negotiations will continue during the day with USR leader Dominic Fritz and PSD representative Sorin Grindeanu.
The president of the UDMR, Kelemen Hunor, said that, in his opinion, if he were the president of Romania, he would give the PSD the opportunity to form a government, given that it is the party with the most mandates.
On the other hand, Petrișor Peiu, the leader of the AUR senators, said on Tuesday, June 2, that the formation will not support in the Parliament any government in which it is not represented and which is not led by a prime minister appointed by the party. He also rejected the option of an independent prime minister, considering the speculations regarding the future nomination for the head of the Executive.
