100 ml of this “potion” – and the washing machine is like new: I get rid of smell and plaque in 20 minutes without expensive products

Anyone who regularly uses a washing machine notices that over time, a musty smell begins to emanate from the drum, and a gray coating appears on the elastic band. This is not laundry dirt. It is a mixture of detergent residue, water and microbes that thrive in moist environments. Such deposits not only smell, but also reduce the quality of washing, and sometimes cause irritation on the skin.

But there is a simple and cheap solution to deal with the problem. You will need vinegar and water. Mix vinegar and water in equal parts, for example 100 ml of each. Pour the solution directly into the drum, not into the powder tray. Run the machine on the longest cycle at 60 degrees. During washing, vinegar will gently dissolve soap scum, kill mold and neutralize odors.

After finishing the cycle, wipe the rubber seal with a soft cloth, especially in the folds. Leave the door open for a few hours to let everything dry.

This cleaning does not damage rubber, leaves no odor and is safe even for cars with sensitive electronics. After it, the laundry smells clean again, and not damp from the depths.

Repeat this cleaning once every one to two months, and your washing machine will last longer, wash better and will not become a source of unpleasant odors. It is important not to use vinegar more than twice a month. This is enough to maintain cleanliness without harming equipment.

Question and answer:

How to clean a washing machine without chemicals?
Use vinegar and hot wash. It's cheap, safe and effective.

Can citric acid be used instead of vinegar?
You can, but it doesn't kill mold as well as vinegar. It is better to alternate or use vinegar to prevent odor.
