In Sharypovo, local residents together with the police detained a young man who committed a pogrom in a parking lot. This was reported by the press service of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Early in the morning of December 4, in the fifth microdistrict of the city, an unknown person began jumping on parked cars, hitting windows with his hands and feet. He then tore a bench and a trash can from a bus stop and hit cars with them as well. When the owners began to come out in response to the noise, the attacker tried to escape.
He was detained by eyewitnesses – the owner of one of the damaged cars, Alexander Nuyanzin, and a member of the public council under the police, Archpriest Pavel Frolov. The priest promptly arrived on the scene after receiving a notification from a car application that an impact had been recorded on his relative’s car.
The archpriest told how he helped detain a rowdy in a parking lot in Sharypovo
The police determined that the detainee was a 19-year-old local resident who was intoxicated. He was unable to clearly explain the motives for his actions.
Investigators opened a criminal case against the young man under the article “Deliberate damage to someone else’s property.” He was given a preventive measure in the form of a recognizance not to leave. The maximum penalty under this article provides for up to five years in prison.
The police presented gratitude to Alexander Nuyanzin for his competent actions. The award for Archpriest Pavel Frolov, who was unable to attend due to illness, will be given later.
