A spectacular match opened the 21st round of La Liga: Levante defeated Elche 3-2, securing three important points in the fight to stay in the first league.
Alvaro Rodriguez put Elche ahead (11), but Levante responded immediately after the break: Pablo Martinez (50) and Adri (68) managed to turn the score around.

Shortly after, Adam Boayar entered the field along with Andre Silva with 20 minutes to go. And already in the second minute of extra time, the Moroccan scored a superb goal, through a spectacular execution from the “scissors”, bringing Elche very close to saving a point.
This was happening in the second minute of overtime, and the most plausible final score was 2-2.
But Levante continued to believe victory was possible. And so it was, with Alan Matturro, who, from a corner, sent the ball with his head (90+6) into Inaki Pena's goal.
Luis Castro recorded his second win in four games at the helm of Levante after a winning debut (3-0) against Sevilla. The team has 17 points, three less than Valencia, the first team above the relegation zone. Elche, on the other hand, remains with 24 points and could drop from 8th place at this stage.
After 20 games, Barcelona is the leader in La Liga with 49 points. Those from Real Madrid are in second place, with one point less.
