50 street cleaning machines will be purchased for Krasnoyarsk

In Krasnoyarsk, it is planned to purchase new equipment for cleaning streets, said Mayor Sergei Vereshchagin.

Today, January 22, he visited the municipal “Specialized motor transport enterprise» and became acquainted with his work in detail.

“I talked with the manager, road workers, and mechanics. These are the people who have been working under fairly intense conditions for the last few weeks: first snowfalls, then frosts. At the same time, there are many requests from residents. Their analysis, as well as my personal feelings as a driver and pedestrian, indicate that there is something to strive for in terms of cleaning», — noted the head of the city.

He announced a phased change in approaches to snow removal and reaching a new level in the issue of maintaining the road network.

“Immediate task — identify deficiencies and develop specific proposals to improve the quality of cleaning. This year, with the support of the regional governor, about 50 units of equipment will be purchased. I do not rule out that we will make a decision on additional staffing of the fleet», — noted Sergey Vereshchagin.

At the moment, the total vehicle fleet of SATP JSC includes about 250 units of equipment – these are all vehicles, including those that can operate in summer, winter and year-round.

“In extreme cold, the main risk is associated with equipment failure. Hydraulic equipment breaks down more often, and metal becomes more brittle. At the same time, the snowfall in cold weather is denser and more difficult to remove,” said Ilya Minaev, head of the operation service of SATP JSC. – Nevertheless, we try to ensure the optimal output of special equipment. On average, about 100-140 units operate per day.”
