In Krasnoyarsk, a 9-year-old girl won an iPhone in a slot machine 16but there was chocolate in the box. The schoolgirl’s grandmother told TVK journalists about this.

According to the woman, her granddaughter regularly played the slot machine installed in the grocery store on Partizan Zheleznyak, 12 for almost a year. The cost of one attempt was 50 rubles, and the main prize was an expensive smartphone from Apple. Recently, luck finally smiled on the girl – she managed to pull out the treasured box, but inside, instead of a phone, there was something similar to chocolate.

“The child has a tantrum. So this box contains some kind of chocolate. Nowhere is it written: no markings, nothing. Moreover, it is a terrible color – not chocolate, some kind of gray with an iPhone pattern. Under the chocolate bar there is a wire – like a charger without a plug. The insert is small and just opens up like a postcard. Nothing in Russian – not a single word. Do you understand what is happening in the child? Such hysteria. The two of us could not calm down. There are no words to describe this situation,” said the girl’s grandmother.

According to Krasnoyarsk, there was a QR code on the box that should lead to a website with information about the prize, but the link did not open. The family managed to contact the owner of the machine, whose phone number was also listed on the box. The man returned to a thousand rubles as compensation, but the child received neither an iPhone nor an official apology.

Rospotrebnadzor said that they are already looking into the incident:

“We learned about this story from the media and, of course, we cannot ignore it. Therefore, we ask the legal representatives of the injured child to contact the Office through the official website. We will thoroughly understand the situation and protect the violated consumer rights. If anyone finds themselves in a similar situation, please also contact us.”
