The criminal case into the death of Twix the cat has been dropped. No one will be punished due to “lack of proof of intent.”
We wrote that on January 11, the cat’s owner was carrying him in a carrier on a train from Yekaterinburg to St. Petersburg. Near Kirov, Twix escaped from his carrier, and at a bus stop he was thrown out onto the street. The pet died. The man discovered the loss only 7.5 hours later, in the area of the Galich station.
The owner's lawyer does not agree with the decision and plans to appeal it.
