Weeks with colder than normal temperatures are ahead / ANM announces the forecast until mid-February

The weather will continue to be particularly cold, with temperatures even lower than normal for the calendar period across the country. The coldest will be in the north-east of the country, and the precipitation will be, for the most part, at a normal level for the season, according to the forecast issued by ANM for the interval January 19 – February 16.
In the week of January 19-26, the thermal values will be lower than the specific ones for this week throughout Romania, but with a more pronounced negative thermal deviation in the northern half of the territory.
“The estimated rainfall regime for this interval will be deficient at the level of the entire country”, according to ANM. In other words, there will be little or no snow.
Also in week of January 26 – February 2average temperatures will be below normal for this interval in all regions, but especially in the northeastern ones.
The amounts of precipitation will be locally deficient in the mountainous areas but also slightly surplus in the southwestern ones, and will otherwise be close to normal.
In the villageweek of February 2-9, the average air temperature will have lower than normal values for this period throughout the country.
“Rainfall will generally be around normal for this range in all regions,” according to meteorologists.
In week of February 9-16, average thermal values will be below the specific ones for this week, throughout Romania.
