“A few minutes ago, in an orchard in the town of Cuhurestii de Jos, Florești district, a drone fell on the guard's house,” the Police of the Republic of Moldova said in a statement on Tuesday morning. The Ministry of Defense in Chisinau then announced that several drones had been detected in the country's airspace.

UPDATE 10.23: “Following the massive attack on Ukraine, on the night of Monday to Tuesday, the airspace surveillance systems of the National Army detected, in the morning of November 25, 2025, six drones crossing the national airspace without authorization,” the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Moldova reported.

The first aerial device was detected in the direction of Vinogradovca – Vulcănești localities, later moving in the direction of the state border with Romania, in the area between Colibași localities, Cahul district and Vadul lui Isac, the authorities transmit from Chisinau. The drone was crossing the airspace at an altitude of about 1500 meters.

Later, another five drones were observed by the surveillance systems crossing the airspace of the towns of Dondușeni, Orhei, Bender, Vadul lui Vodă and Florești, the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Moldova also says. One of the five drones fell on the roof of a house in the village of Cuhureștii de Jos, Florești district, the authorities say.

In the message, the Ministry of Defense in Chisinau urges people “to report any unauthorized object observed and not to touch any object that has fallen to the ground, but to inform the authorities.”

People evacuated after a drone fell on a house

The Chisinau authorities announced that several crews are heading to the scene of the incident, while several people have been evacuated.

“The perimeter was isolated by the policemen from Florești,” the Police of the Republic of Moldova also reports.

At this moment, the origin of the drone is not clear, but the incident takes place while there is a security alert in Romania.

Several combat aircraft were lifted from the ground on Tuesday morning, from Mihail Kogălniceanu Base 57, after the radars of the Ministry of National Defense detected targets that violated the national airspace, MApN announced.

Two drones were detected near Romanian airspace around 6:30 a.m., and one of them crossed the counties of Tulcea, Galați and Vrancea, where it was at around 9:40 a.m.
