“Health education programs”, including “for proper nutrition”. Minister Rogobete's announcement

Alexandru Rogobete announced on Friday that the Ministries of Health and Education have started the development of health education programs, which will have several components, from hygiene to nutrition, reports Agerpres.

The Minister of Health spoke about this approach during a press conference in Madrid.

“The Ministry of Health in collaboration with the Ministry of Education have started such an approach to carry out some health education programs. In addition to the prevention component, in addition to the dental hygiene component, for example, vaccination and all other preventive behaviors will be discussed and addressed, including the area of ​​nutrition, especially a correct diet, which will reduce the degree of obesity that exists in Romania”, said Alexandru Rogobete.

He believes that in our country the Spanish model regarding the mental health component can be “easily replicated”.

“We try as much as possible for the treatments to be carried out in day hospitalization and in specialized outpatients and hospitalizations in continuous hospitalization are carried out only if necessary. Practically, a special effort is made to reduce hospitalization times and orient the patient to day hospitalizations and specialized outpatients”, added the official.

Rogobete stated that a working group will be created at the ministry to implement the national strategy for patients with mental health conditions.
