“They barely turned it off.” Oksana Bilozir's daughter-in-law, people's deputy Larisa Bilozir, almost burned down her apartment

“It was past nine o’clock without light. The child didn’t succeed in cooking anything. But we managed to almost burn down the kitchen – a gas stove with a spray can flared up so that it was barely extinguished,” she wrote.

Bilozir noted that while she was trying to prepare food, her son Matvey “decided not to wait” and snacked on a head of cabbage.

In the comments to the post, the people's deputy added that over time, electricity appeared and she prepared soup.

Ukrainian restaurateur Evgeniy Klopotenko recommends heating water and heating food during blackouts due to attacks by Russian occupiers on the Ukrainian energy system using dry alcohol.
