US President Donald Trump yesterday answered the question on Thursday whether he thinks that Vladimir Putin would listen to his call to stop bombing Ukraine. He added at a meeting with the Norwegian prime minister that he still thinks that there are “very good chances” at the end of the war.

Trump was asked by a journalist if he thinks that the Russian president would listen to his previously issued appeal to stop the bombing of Ukraine. He answered in the affirmative. The exchange took place during the welcome of the Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Stoere.
Trump said a moment later that he still thinks that both sides of the conflict want peace, and the chances of concluding an agreement are “very good”. When asked if he set any end date for conversations, Trump said he had “his own date”; He wants an agreement to take place quickly, and if he doesn't get, he will have a “definitely different approach”.
The war in Ukraine is to be one of the main topics of leaders' talks, in which it also participates, among others Former NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, currently the Minister of Finance in the Stoere government.
On Thursday morning, Trump expressed his frustration because of the massive Russian bombing of Kiev, as a result of which at least 9 people were killed and over 60 were injured.
“I am not satisfied with Russian strokes on Kiev. Unnecessary and in a very bad time. Vladimir, stop! 5000 soldiers dies every week. Let's arrange a peace agreement!” – Trump called in an entry on his Truth Social social networking site. (PAP)
