Do you want to please your loved ones with a delicious, festive and absolutely hassle-free dessert? Introducing “Fir Cones” – a delicate, sweet treat made from corn flakes, walnuts and boiled condensed milk. Prepared without an oven, without any hassles – and it looks like you spent half a day on it!
The preparation time is only 15 minutes, and then the dessert “arrives” in the refrigerator. Ideal for those who want to get everything done before the chimes strike!
Ingredients (for 4 servings):
- Glazed corn flakes – 160 g
- Crushed walnuts – 100 g
- Boiled condensed milk (“Toffee”) – 1 can (370–380 g)
- Powdered sugar – 2 tbsp. spoons (for serving)
How to cook:
- In a large bowl, stir together cornflakes, nuts and boiled condensed milk until smooth and slightly sticky.
- Take cone-shaped glasses with a volume of 70-80 ml (or disposable cones made of thick paper). Lightly moisten the insides with water – this will make it easier to remove the dessert later.
- Spoon the mixture into shot glasses using a teaspoon, lightly pressing down so that the cones keep their shape.
- Place the pieces in the refrigerator for 3 hours – this time is enough for the mass to set well.
- Before serving, carefully remove the “cones” by turning the glasses down and lightly helping with a knife or thin stick.
- Place the dessert on a plate and sprinkle with powdered sugar through a strainer – so it will look like snowflakes on fir cones!
