SuperLiga: FC Argeș, defeated in a friendly match by a former champion of Turkey

FC Argeş, a team ranked 5th in the SuperLiga standings, was defeated by Bursaspor, score 1-2, in a friendly match played on Tuesday in Antalya.

The group from Pitesti opened the scoring in the 15th minute, through Robert Moldoveanu, who fulfilled a simple formality after a shot by Radescu was deflected to the side by the opposing goalkeeper.

Bursaspor equalized in the 30th minute, when Akbunar scored wide, from 6 meters. The Turkish team scored the second goal in the 84th minute, when Muhammet Demir scored spectacularly.

Turkish champions in the 2009/10 season, Bursaspor is currently playing in the third league, where it leads the Red Group (there is also a White Group), after facing debts of around 47.5 million euros in 2023 and being on the verge of collapse.

FC Argeș will play another friendly match on January 9, with Gaziantep, a team that drew 1-1 with Petrolul Ploiești on Tuesday. Romanians Alexandru Maxim and Deian Sorescu are registered in the 9th place group in Turkey's first league.

In the first official match of 2026, FC Argeș will receive the visit of FCSB, on January 16, from 20:00, in the 22nd stage of the SuperLiga.
