Analysts found out where residents of the Krasnoyarsk Territory will go to rest on May holidays

Residents of the Krasnoyarsk Territory have already decided on traveling on the upcoming May holidays. According to the joint study of Megafon and the service of buying air and railway tickets to the Kolibilet, the top of the directions were Sochi, Moscow and St. Petersburg.

These locations for the second year in a row remain the most popular among Krasnoyarsk residents and Russians as a whole, even despite the increase in prices for flights.

Sochi became the main location for long spring weekend. The main attraction for Siberian travelers in the city was the Olympic Park – the main object of the 2014 Winter Olympic Games and one of the venues of the 2018 World Cup. It accounts for 43 % of the total number of tourists from the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Also, residents of the region, being in the summer capital of the country, visit Rosa Khutor (27 %) and Riviera Park (20 %).

According to the “Boillet”, Moscow was the second most popular city for traveling. It is possible that for many Siberians the capital is a transit point in further travels. The same Krasnoyarsk residents who purposefully go to the white -stone, to take a walk, go to the Victory Park (16 %of the total number of tourists), to Red Square (14 %), Zaryadye Park (12 %), VDNH (10 %) and old Arbat (9 %). According to the operator analysts, last year in Moscow, 27 % more Krasnoyarsk residents visited the May holidays than in 2023.

The top 3 is closed by the northern capital. Arriving in the city on the Neva, 41 % of Krasnoyarsk tourists first visit the shooter of the Vasilievsky Island, and then go through the Palace bridge to the Palace Square. Also, the TOP of the Sibiryaks included the Peter and Paul Fortress and the Park of the 300th anniversary of St. Petersburg, located on the banks of the Gulf of Finland.

According to the operator analysts, Krasnoyarsk residents are actively leaving for the May holidays from 36 to 45 years – these are 38 % of tourists, in second place are those from 26 to 35 years – there are 28 % of them. At the same time, women more often than men choose trips to other cities of the country, men in the total flow of May travelers are only 47 %.
