Olimpiu Moruțan (26 years old), the right wing who plays at Aris Thessaloniki, would no longer be part of coach Manolo Jimenez's plans for 2026.

The Greeks want to free up places in the squad this winter to be able to bring in reinforcements, and Olimpiu Moruțan is on the “black list” compiled by the group from Thessaloniki.

Announcement from Greece about Olimpiu Moruțuan

“The yellows are trying to air out the squad by removing players who do not fit into Manolo Jimenez's plans, but also players with big contracts like Pione Sisto.

Moruțan and Misehouy are on this list. The former's intentions were expressed by his agent and he admitted talks with teams from Turkey and Romania. In the event that the two will leave, strengthening the middle will automatically become a priority for the team”, wrote the Greeks from gazzetta.gr.

Olimpiu Moruțan did not adapt very well to Aris. The Romanian arrived this summer at the team from Ankaragucu. The Romanian footballer played 16 matches and did not make any decisive contribution for the Greek team.

Olimpiu Moruțan also played at U Cluj, FC Botoşani, FCSB, Galatasaray, Pisa and Ankaragucu. It is quoted by specialized websites at 2 million euros.

A few days ago, the same newspaper from Greece also wrote about Olimpiu Moruțan's situation: “The option of a loan or even a permanent transfer, if there will be a concrete offer, is seriously considered at Aris. The player's agent is already working in this direction.

The club is informed and agrees with the efforts of the representative of the Romanian international, especially in the context in which the first part of the season was below expectations for him.

Moruțan was transferred with the clear objective of making a difference in the offensive department of the team. However, after 16 games played, he failed to score or provide any decisive assist, and his performances were generally considered modest”
