Two football players of the Timișoara Polytechnic, Cosmin Huminic and Denis Tătaru, are accused of brutally beating a young man this morning, in an incident that happened in front of a club in the city. The League 3 club distanced itself from its own footballers in a statement issued on Sunday, while the victim's mother makes outrageous revelations! Dan Alexa, Poli's trainer, commented to GSP: “These things shouldn't happen.”

Scenes of terrible cruelty took place on Sunday morning in Timișoara, in front of a night club in the city on Bega, where two football players from Poli Timișoara allegedly filled the 19-year-old son of Alina Sperlea, a local councilor from Dumbrăvița, with blood. The local publication Sursa de Vest published traumatic information about the situation of the young man caught in a fight.

Everything would have started from a crisis of jealousy experienced by one of the aggressors. Angry that his ex-partner has a new boyfriend, he prepared a violent revenge, notes the cited source. Victim, Lucas, 19, was ambushed outside the club he was in, then fell prey to the uncontrollable rage of the three assailants, who allegedly used a hair to smash the victim's head.

Denis Tătaru, former international with appearances in the U18 national team, now 19 years old, played as a central defender at Poli. Cosmin Huminic is 22 years old and used to play as a stopper. The two are no longer part of the team, the club announced this morning.

The boy's mother is shocked: “He has a broken head, a fractured jaw”

The mother of the mistreated boy was the one who made public the identity of the aggressors. The two footballers of the viola group would have had another player with them, registered at CS Giroc Chișoda, for “amateurs”:

“Among the aggressors are Cosmin Huminic, Denis Tătaru and Robert Damșa. The first two are registered at Poli Timișoara, and the third, at the team from Giroc.

It's amazing what they could do. As a mother, I will go to great lengths to do justice to my child. He did nothing wrong, and these hooligans made him miserable. He has a broken head, a fractured jaw. The hair with which he was hit is full of Lucas' blood,” said the victim's mother, Alina Sperlea, according to Sursa de Vest.

Alina Sperlea is a local councilor in Dumbrăvița and works in PSD Timiș.

“Club Politehnica Timișoara disassociates itself from any type of inappropriate behavior that would be associated with athletes from our team. We strongly condemn such behavior, which has nothing to do with the spirit of the club and the values we promote”, reported the Poli team, who announced that the bully players are no longer part of the team:

“The two players nominated in the press are no longer part of Poli's squad, as they have commitments to other clubs to perform in the remaining games of the current season.”

“Politehnica Timișoara will not make additional comments on this subject until the completion of the investigation by the competent bodies”, added the representatives of the viola band.

Dan Alexa's reaction to GSP: “These things shouldn't happen”

GSP.ro contacted Dan Alexa this afternoon, and the Polytechnic technician briefly commented on the information:

“They're not part of the squad anymore, one of them was on loan. It's just an investigation now, we don't know what happened either. These are things that should not happen! I don't know exactly what happened, we'll see, the investigation is ongoing”.
