A deputy of the Taseevsky District Council, convicted of murdering his wife, died in the Northern Military District

Ex-deputy of the Taseevsky District Council of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Alexander Khakonov, convicted of murdering his wife, died in a special military operation. Information about his death in August 2024 appeared in the open register of inheritance cases, media reports.

The conflict between the spouses arose during a feast on March 28, 2022. The man beat the woman, then stabbed her twice in the chest. She died on the spot from her injuries.

Then Khakonov loaded his wife’s corpse into a car and took her to a landfill, where he covered her with snow, construction debris and branches. The next day, in order to divert suspicion from himself, he reported the disappearance of his wife to the police.

The politician was sentenced to 9 years and 8 months in a maximum security colony. According to available data, in 2023, while in a pre-trial detention center, he signed a contract to participate in the SVO. In August 2024, Alexander Khakonov died during the fighting.
