The swimmer Denis Popescu (22 years old) is the new athlete of the Dinamo club. The announcement was made by the club of the Ministry of the Interior, through social networks. The agreement is valid from January 1, 2026.
The “transfer” of the European champion Denis Popescu is another blow given by Clubul Sportiv Dinamo, after the legalization of David Popovici (2021).

Denis Popescu is a gold medalist in the 100 meter butterfly event at the U23 European Championship in Samorin (Slovakia) and will represent Dinamo Sports Club starting in 2026.

In 2025, he made the scale and participated in the World Championship in Singapore, where he started in four events – 50 and 100 meters butterfly and backstroke, but also in the European Championship in the 25-meter pool in Lublin, Poland, where he qualified in two finals.

The swimmer Denis Laurean Popescu (22 years old) enters the family of Dynamo sports from January 1, 2026. Born on July 17, 2003 in Reșita, Denis was the revelation of the Romanian delegation at the European U23 Championship in Samorin 2025, where he won two medals: gold in the 100-meter butterfly and bronze in the 50-meter butterfly, both with national records.
