The legendary Dutch coach Leo Beenhakker, winner of 12 trophies in a career in which he prepared, among others, Real Madrid, Feyenoord and Ajax, died.
Leo Beenhakker was 82 years old. He was especially known for the mandates he had on Real Madrid's bank, the first between 1986 and 1989, the second in the first half of 1992, resulting in 6 trophies.
In the second term, Beenhakker had under his command on Gică Hagi. Under Dutch guidance, Hagi scored 11 goals in a total of 27 matches.

The “king” of Romanian football reacted to the tragic news: “Today, unfortunately, we must say goodbye to a prominent personality in world football, the extraordinary coach Leo Beenhakker, with which I had the honor to collaborate with Real Madrid. Goodbye, Mister Beenhakker!”.
Leo Beenhakker not only trained club teams, but also national: the Netherlands in 1990, Saudi Arabia in 1993 and 1994, Trinidad and Tobago in 2005 and 2006, Poland between 2006-2009. The most recently activated at Sparta Rotterdam, boarding the club leaders.
