The new head of Krasnoyarsk held the first pre-New Year meeting with utility workers

Mayor of Krasnoyarsk Sergei Vereshchagin held a meeting on the readiness of city services to work on New Year's Eve and the January holidays. The discussion was attended by deputy mayors, heads of relevant departments, heads of districts and representatives of the police, housing and communal services and healthcare.

Deputy head of the city Dmitry Bezrukikh reported on the readiness of the communal complex. All services will switch to an enhanced operating mode with daily round-the-clock duty. At least 200 road workers will go out every day to clean the streets, and in case of heavy snowfalls, additional equipment will be brought in. Particular attention will be paid to cleaning the areas around the festive grounds, ice towns and the main Christmas tree.

“I receive messages from citizens through social networks, people send photos about poor cleaning. While there is no intense precipitation, it is necessary to restore order as much as possible both on the roads and on the sidewalks. Accordingly, during long weekends, monitor requests from Krasnoyarsk residents on a daily basis and promptly respond to them,” emphasized Sergei Vereshchagin.

We separately discussed timely garbage collection on holidays. The management of the regional operator stated that the company is switching to an enhanced schedule, all equipment is ready for work, and a reserve fleet has been formed.

“It is important to strengthen the work on the removal of solid waste, immediately, if possible, attract reserve equipment, and complete the installation of containers purchased with regional subsidies by the end of the year,” concluded the new mayor.

The head of the city also instructed to maintain special control over security at all New Year's sites.
