“We clearly understand what is being discussed between Russia and the leadership of Belarus. There has now been a lot of activity from the Russians – I mean, in a conversation with [самопровозглашенным президентом Беларуси] Alexander Lukashenko. They want to drag Belarus into the war much more strongly and launch additional aggressive operations from the territory of Belarus – either against our Chernigov-Kyiv direction, or against one of the NATO countries bordering Belarus,” the president said.
Zelensky added that he instructed the defense and security forces of Ukraine to prepare a response plan. It is planned to be considered and approved at a meeting of the commander-in-chief headquarters.
“We will strengthen the Chernigov-Kiev direction. Partners also know what is happening and what they are pushing Belarus towards,” added the head of state.
