The Chinese challenged Maybach. The success is spectacular

Maextro S800 was supposed to be the Chinese answer to the popularity of top luxury cars from Europe. And according to Bloomberg, the car is very successful on the domestic market. The car quickly became the best-selling passenger car, the price of which exceeds the equivalent of PLN 100,000. hole.
Thus, the electric Maextro S800 model has overtaken cars such as the Porsche Panamera or Mercedes S-class in China. Bloomberg emphasizes that the car quickly convinced Chinese customers, because its debut took place in May 2025. In November, sales of the Maextro S800 on the Chinese market were higher than the combined sales of the Porsche Panamera and the BMW 7 Series.
Currently, the company sells approx. 2,000. pieces of the model per month, but wants to increase production and provide customers with up to 4,000. pieces of vehicle.

The world's media attribute this success primarily to the price. Maextro usually costs in China the equivalent of PLN 100,000 to PLN 144,000. hole. For comparison, prices of the Porsche Panamera model in this market start from PLN 156,000. hole. Mercedes S-Class Maybach versions are even more expensive, not to mention Rolls-Royces, which can cost over $1.2 million in the Middle Kingdom. At the same time – as described by the world's media – Maextro has many functions that have so far been available only in models of the most famous European companies. At Maextro you can get, for example, large “cinema” screens, automatically closing doors and top-shelf materials. The length of the S800 model is also impressive, almost 5.5 m.
