The US wants to put Russia and Ukraine at the table. What does this mean for the safety of Poles?

“The United States has proposed to hold a meeting of national security advisors (NSA) of Ukraine, the United States and the Russian Federation,” said President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, expressing moderate optimism about the prospects for such a meeting,” Interfax-Ukraine wrote.
— As for (secretary of the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council, Ukrainian representative in the peace talks Rustem) Umerov, he called me and said that America is now proposing a tripartite meeting of advisors — America, Ukraine, Russia, Zelensky revealed in a comment to journalists.
The president noted that he was not sure whether this meeting would bring anything new, but added that the result of a similar meeting in Turkey was the return of prisoners of war and civilians, which is why it is worth organizing such meetings, Interfax-Ukraina reported.
— I don't think it's much of what we wanted, but it's very important. I'm very happy that the exchanges took place. Our people, our soldiers, and above all the prisoners of war, have returned home. And civilians. That is why such steps need to be taken, Zelensky explained.
“And if now there can be such a meeting that will unblock exchanges, or if the result of the trilateral meeting of the NSA (security advisors) can be an agreement on a trilateral meeting of leaders – and I have said this many times – there are difficult issues that must be resolved by state leaders. So, if there are results in the form of exchanges or some other arrangements, I cannot be against; then we support the United States' proposal. We will see how it will be,” declared the Ukrainian president.

Chief Ukrainian negotiator Umerov announced on Friday the end of the meeting with American and European partners in the US.
Earlier on the same day, Umerov announced the start of another round of consultations with the American side on the war in Ukraine. He was accompanied by the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, General Andriy Hnatov. As Umierov added, at the invitation of the US, European partners were also involved in this format.
Dmitriev's mission: Putin's envoy in Miami
The US and Russian delegations are scheduled to meet in Miami this weekend. The Russian delegation will include Vladimir Putin's envoy, Kirill Dmitriev, and the American side will be represented by President Donald Trump's envoys, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has not ruled out joining some of the talks on Saturday.
The Reuters agency, citing sources, reported on the night from Friday to Saturday that trilateral contacts – with the participation of Ukraine – are not planned, and Dmitriev is leaving for Miami.
