Krasnoyarsk football club “Yenisei” introduced a new head coach. It was 66-year-old Sergei Tashuev, who previously worked with famous Russian clubs. The contract was signed for one and a half years.
Sergei Tashuev replaced Andrei Tikhonov in this post, who led the team for almost two years.
The new mentor has a solid track record. He headed Krasnodar, Akhmat, Kuban, Anzhi and Fakel. Under his leadership, Akhmat Grozny took fifth place in the Russian Championship in the 2022/23 season, which was the best result in the club’s history. Under him, Makhachkala's Anzhi reached the Premier League, and the Belarusian Shakhtar from Soligorsk won silver in the Belarusian Championship and the National Cup.
Before moving to Yenisei, Sergei Tashuev was unemployed after leaving Akhmat in May of this year. He is faced with the task of improving the results of the Krasnoyarsk team in the second half of the season. Now Enisey is in 13th place in the First League table.
