Homemade lifting mask for pennies: mix 2 tbsp. l. with water – I’ll be a beauty on New Year’s Eve

Sometimes the most effective skin care products are hidden not in jars with a designer logo, but on the kitchen shelf.

Just 1 budget product can replace an expensive lifting cream, providing an instant tightening effect and filling in fine wrinkles. Even our mothers in Soviet times used ordinary potato starch.

It contains a natural polysaccharide, which upon contact with the skin forms an invisible film. This film tightens the contour of the face, visually smoothes wrinkles, retains moisture in the skin, making it firmer and fresher.

And using a lifting mask with starch is so simple that it will take a minimum of time.

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp. potato starch
  • warm water

Application

  • Gradually add water to the cornstarch, stirring until you reach the consistency of a thick paste.
  • Apply a thick layer to cleansed face and neck, avoiding the eye area. Leave for 15-20 minutes until completely dry.
  • Gently rinse with warm water, massaging the skin in circular motions.
  • Apply the mask immediately after preparation, as it hardens quickly.
  • Before first use, apply a little mixture to the crook of your elbow to prevent an allergic reaction.
  • Use the mask 1-2 times a week for a course effect.
  • After the mask, apply a light moisturizer.

Strengthened options for different skin needs

  • For dry skin, add 1 tsp to the classic mixture. olive or almond oil for extra nutrition.
  • For tired skin, use chilled milk or natural yogurt instead of water – this will enhance the moisturizing and refreshing effect.
  • For oily skin, dilute the starch with mineral water and add 1 tsp. lemon juice for a mattifying and toning effect.

The tightening and visual smoothing of wrinkles is noticeable immediately after the first use. After 4-5 procedures, you will feel the cumulative effect and notice an improvement in skin tone and hydration.

This mask is an ideal solution for express care before an important event or as a regular maintenance procedure. Try it now and you will be dazzling on New Year's Eve.
