SGK reported on the work to modernize energy capacities at the Consumer Council of the Krasnoyarsk Territory

December 18 11:15

At a meeting of the Consumer Council on the activities of natural monopolies under the governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the leaders of the Yenisei TGC (a division of the Siberian Generating Company in the Yenisei Siberia region) presented a report on the implementation of the program for modernizing energy capacities in the region.

In their report, they emphasized the importance of sustainable and environmentally friendly heat and electricity supply for the region's residents.

This year, SGK completed the construction of the second power unit of CHPP-3 with a capacity of 185 MW, which became the only new unit in Russian coal generation built from scratch. More than 27.5 billion rubles have been invested in the project. As part of the project, a modern boiler, turbine and generator of domestic production were installed. This equipment will ensure the generation of thermal and electrical energy for the development of both the capital of the region and the region as a whole. A highly efficient electric precipitator and the first cooling tower in the city will help minimize the burden on the environment.

Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Sergei Kuzmin, assessing the technical solutions and environmental program of the SGK, called the second power unit of CHPP-3 “one of the best in Russia.”

Speaking to the Consumer Council, Deputy Chief Engineer for Operation of the Yenisei TGC Yaroslav Mikhailenko emphasized that the SGC participates in two federal programs: the first is aimed at updating the main energy equipment – developing the capacity of thermal power plants (DPM-2 program), and the second is related to the reduction of emissions and the implementation of environmental projects – “Clean Air”.

Synchronization of these programs allows us to simultaneously solve the problems of meeting the growing demand for electricity and reducing emissions into the atmosphere, meeting modern environmental requirements. Over the past four years, the company has invested more than 76 billion rubles in environmental modernization, updating heating networks and generating equipment.

One of the largest projects of SGK is the modernization of Krasnoyarsk CHPP-1 with the replacement of main and gas cleaning equipment, which will be completed in 2026. In addition, the company is developing heat transport infrastructure to improve reliability and replace inefficient generation in Krasnoyarsk and Kansk.

Minister of Tariff Policy of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Alexander Ananyev emphasized that the transition of these cities to the price zone made it possible to achieve many positive transformations. He recalled that before the transition, “residents of the off-rail part of Kansk paid a tariff three times higher. And the level of reliability in winter was very low.”

Alexander Ananyev noted that thanks to the new mechanism, which made it possible to attract investment in the heat and power industry, 11 inefficient boiler houses were closed, and the reliability of the heat supply to Kansk was strengthened. The minister emphasized that the capital of the region also needed infrastructural changes, which became possible thanks to Krasnoyarsk’s transition to long-term tariff regulation. The result was not only a reduction in incidents on heating networks, but also the construction of new communications for the transfer of thermal energy from one area to another. This made it possible to provide heat to new buildings and reduce the number of days when hot water was turned off in the summer.

SGC managers spoke about projects that are not directly related to production, but lead to changes in the environmental direction. This is the “New Heat” project, within which the company is converting private homes to environmentally friendly electric heating. And also “Siberia Charges” – a program to create a network of charging stations for electric vehicles. Based on the results of the report, deputies of the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnoyarsk Territory asked a number of additional questions and invited the SGC to make a detailed report on the work at one of the sessions of the Legislative Assembly of the region.
