Residents of the Krasnoyarsk Territory tried online services for creating wishlists with gifts for the New Year

December 18 11:29

Residents of the Krasnoyarsk Territory are changing their usual approach to choosing New Year's gifts: online services for creating wishlists are used three times more often than last year, with the peak of activity occurring in October-November.

MegaFon analysts came to this conclusion after analyzing anonymized subscriber data.

Interest in digital wish lists began to grow even before the traditional start of the “mail” campaign: Letter-writing Day to Santa Claus in Russia is celebrated on December 4. If last year user activity reached its maximum in December, then this season Krasnoyarsk residents began planning gifts in October. This approach allows you to reduce the pre-holiday rush and avoid the rush in the last days before the holidays.

Residents aged 25–34 are the most active – they account for 37% of all compiled lists. The next largest group is made up of users 35–44 years old (34%), and people 45–54 years old account for 15%. Women are 25% more likely than men to form their own wishlists.

It is curious that the activity of Krasnoyarsk residents is not distributed according to the usual pattern – most wishlists are compiled at the beginning of the work week. Thus, on Mondays and Wednesdays, traffic on wishlist platforms exceeds the weekly average by 40%.
