Former prime minister and vice-president of PiS, Mateusz Morawiecki, emphasized that – in the light of media reports about disputes between factions in PiS – he did not intend to create his own party. PiS is my party, he added. He also emphasized that the leader of the Polish right wing is the party president, Jarosław Kaczyński.

On Tuesday, Morawiecki told Polsat News that in the evening at the party headquarters at ul. The PiS club's Christmas Eve party began at Nowogrodzka Street in Warsaw and – as he added – he was coming back to it after the program. When asked whether – according to media reports – his own Christmas Eve party would be held after the end of the “wafer with parliamentarians”, Morawiecki confirmed. As he put it, “colleagues, a few local government officials and colleagues from PiS” will come to it.
In the context of disputes within PiS, when asked whether he intended to create his own party, Morawiecki denied it.
PiS is my party. (…) I do not intend to (create my own party – PAP). There is no way that PiS will split. We are one, he emphasized. He added that after the club's wafer he was “like a gentle lamb”.
When asked who is the current leader of the Polish right – Kaczyński or President Karol Nawrocki, Morawiecki emphasized that the leader is the president of PiS. – President Nawrocki is already a symbolic figure today. He is the president of more than just the Polish right, he is the president of all Poles, he added.
Morawiecki said that as part of work on the PiS program, he proposed the establishment of an operational and communication staff that could “cohere our communication policy and move very much forward.” Morawiecki compared this idea to Nawrocki's staff during the presidential campaign, headed by the current head of the president's office, Paweł Głosernaker. – I would suggest that (at the head of such a staff – PAP) there should be a person who shares various sensitivities in the spirit of unity, harmony and peace, just like Paweł Głosernaker – he said.
Morawiecki was also asked whether during the club's Christmas Eve he shared the wafer with the former president of TVP, Jacek Kurski, who on Monday on the X platform criticized the former prime minister's declarations from a recent interview regarding filling positions in the future theoretical PiS government. Morawiecki replied that he did not have time to break the wafer because he came to the program. When asked to comment on Kurski's entry, the former prime minister said that “today, courage has waned and people are writing different things.”
At the end of November, sources in PiS told PAP that there are tense relations in the party between Morawiecki's faction and the former head of MS Zbigniew Ziobro and politicians from the former Sovereign Poland camp. Morawiecki said in an interview for Gazeta.pl that – if he were prime minister – he “does not plan” for Ziobro to become justice minister. The media also indicated that the former prime minister was not included, among others. in the team for developing the PiS program, which – as it was reported – was intended to weaken his position in the party. Last week, the former head of MAP, Jacek Sasin, said that Morawiecki would not be PiS's candidate for prime minister because he “represents a more centrist trend in the party.”
At Friday's meeting of the Presidium of the PiS Political Committee, which – according to PAP information – was to deal with, among others, Morawiecki did not appear to discipline politicians who had recently been involved in media disputes.
PiS president Jarosław Kaczyński emphasized on Monday that disputes between factions in the party, which broke out for trivial reasons, should end. He also said that he talked to Morawiecki that day, and the effects of this conversation could be assessed after a slightly longer time, but – as he argued – the conversation itself was not the worst.
