US President Donald Trump announced that he will address the nation on Wednesday evening in a televised address, saying that the year that has passed since his return to power has been an “excellent” one, Reuters and AFP write.
“My dear fellow Americans: I will be addressing the nation tomorrow night, live from the White House, at 9:00 p.m. local time (02:00 GMT Wednesday-Thursday), Trump wrote in a message posted on his social network, Truth Social, on Tuesday.
“It's been an excellent year for our country, and the best is yet to come!” the American leader added in the message.
What topics will Trump address?
“He will talk to the country about its historic successes this year” and “lift a corner of the veil on some future decisions next year,” White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt later said on Fox News.
She specified that Trump's speech to the nation will cover topics such as immigration and the economy.

The decidedly positive vision of the American president and the White House, however, strikes a discordant note with Americans' concerns about the rising cost of living, expressed in recent surveys.
Americans' disappointment with Donald Trump's economic policy, which is largely based on customs duties, worries Republicans, less than a year before the midterm elections, notes News.ro.
Some conservatives are asking the White House leader to focus more on domestic issues.
