Krzysztof Kolany and Wojciech Boczoń awarded in the NBP competition

Two Bankier.pl analysts – Krzysztof Kolany and Wojciech Boczoń were awarded in the 23rd edition of the Competition. Władysław Grabski for economic journalists organized by the National Bank of Poland. These are yet another awards this year for members of the Bankier.pl editorial team.


Krzysztof Kolany received an award in the category “Currency reserves and gold in the Polish economy – original analysis of their role in the stability and financial security of the state” for the text entitled Is 30% gold in foreign exchange reserves a good idea?
Wojciech Boczoń received an award in the Column category for the article entitled Banks ask about sources of income. If you don't answer, they will block access to e-banking.
Competition named after Władysław Grabski for economic journalists is organized every year by the National Bank of Poland. The awards in this year's 23rd edition were presented on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, during a gala.
Krzysztof Kolany has been associated with Bankier.pl since 2007. As the chief analyst, he monitors the most important economic events in Poland and abroad, commenting on their impact on financial markets. He is the creator of the original Investing Academy project.
For Krzysztof Kolany, this is the fourth prize in the competition. Władysław Grabski. He was awarded for the first time in 2010, when he won in the “online journalism” category, then in the 2018 edition his article “Vollgeld. Will the Swiss decide on a monetary revolution” was awarded in the Monetary policy and financial stability category, and in the 2019 edition his article “Why do central banks buy gold?” was awarded in the 2019 edition.
Wojciech Boczoń is also a recognized Polish journalist, analyst and banking expert. Author of many commentaries, guides, articles and reports on banking addressed to both the industry and its clients. He regularly publishes in Bankier.pl and is also the editor-in-chief of the industry website PRNews.pl. He is the author of a series of reports “Polish banking in numbers”. He received the Journalist of the Year 2013 award according to the Competition Chapter of the 9th Congress of Electronic Economy at the Polish Bank Association. He was twice nominated for the Journalism Award. Marian Krzak and was the winner of this award in 2014. He was also a finalist of the Press Club Polska Economic Journalism Award for 2019.
This year, these are not the only awards received by the editorial staff of Bankier.pl. During the 29th edition of the Wall Street Conference in Karpacz, Andrzej Stec received the 25th Anniversary Diamond, and Krzysztof Kolany was honored with the title of Capital Market Hero for the third time in a row (and fourth in history).

The competition organized by the NBP awards journalists and editorial teams who contribute to raising the level of economic knowledge in society, and in particular for presenting the principles of the functioning of the economy to the public in an accessible and understandable way.
