Given that the Senate adopted, on Monday, December 15, the simple motion initiated against the Minister of the Environment, Diana Buzoianu, and with the help of the PSD vote, Kelemen Hunor declared, in an interview with Digi24, that a meeting of the coalition will take place on Wednesday, in which this topic will be discussed.
“It's serious when such things happen in a coalition, but it's not the end of the country”, he affirmed, pointing out, however, that what happened on Monday in the Parliament shows, once again, that things are not working as they should within the governing coalition.
Although he avoided directly answering the question of whether Diana Buzoianu should resign from the Ministry of the Environment, the UDMN leader stated that someone must, however, assume political responsibility for the situation in Paltinu, but that he is not in a position to determine who exactly.
“You can't run away from responsibility if you want to be a minister”, Kelemen Hunor also affirmed, pointing out, dilomatically, that it is “to discuss where the responsibility stops”, specifying that he does not believe that Diana Buzoianu will be changed.
Regarding his party's position within the coalition, the UDMR leader was firm, declaring that he would never vote for any motion against the government, although “we also have our grievances”.
