The Israel Defense Forces reported on Sunday it carried out drone strikes targeting three Hezbollah fighters in southern Lebanon.

According to the army, the targets of the attacks were three members of a terrorist organization supported by Iran who participated in the reconstruction of Hezbollah's infrastructure, “and their actions constituted a violation of the agreements concluded between Israel and Lebanon,” the Times of Israel reported.
The Lebanese website Naharnet, citing local authorities, reported that at least two people died in the attacks.
After the outbreak of the war between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip in the fall of 2023, Hezbollah began shelling Israel, which turned into an open conflict a year later. The Israeli army managed to significantly weaken the Lebanese organization, eliminating its commanders and liquidating a significant part of its weapons.
In November 2024, with the mediation of the USA, a truce was concluded between Hezbollah and Israel. However, the Israeli army continues to carry out attacks against the pro-Iranian group, accusing it of lack of will to disarm. (PAP)
