Sorina Marinaș, judge at the criminal section of the Craiova Court of Appeal, published images from the protest she had announced for Saturday in front of the Craiova Court with the intention of sending “a message that this cannot be done anymore”.
In the post, Marinaș also mentions Raluca Moroșanu, the judge who went to the press conference organized by the management of the Bucharest Court of Appeal and sent a message of support for Laurențiu Beșu, the magistrate virulently attacked by the CAB after appearing in the Recorder documentary “Captured Justice”.
“That's how it was at the protest. Magistrates, lawyers, students, children. We received tea. And they shouted “Don't forget Moroșanu, the street is on your side!”, the judge wrote in a post on Facebook on Saturday evening, in which she published images from the demonstration in front of the Craiova Court.
Sorina Marinaș announced on Friday that she intends to join the protests against the state of the justice system in our country, against the backdrop of the wave of dissatisfaction triggered by the revelations in the Recorder documentary.
“Certainly what I am doing now can be called professional suicide. I, a criminal judge, will do this, even though my hands are shaking, and I know it may mean the end of my career,” the judge wrote on Friday evening, in a message published on her Facebook page.
Marinaș is also the judge who posted on Facebook the initial list of the 178 prosecutors and judges who signed the message of support for the magistrates who make the revelations in the documentary “Captured Justice”.
The list, which is opened by the former head of the DNA Laura Codruța Kovesi, currently the chief prosecutor of the European Public Prosecutor's Office, was signed by more than 800 magistrates by Friday evening.
On Saturday evening, a new demonstration also takes place in Piața Victoriei in the Capital, where hundreds of people have gathered until 7 p.m. Protesters started chanting slogans like “Resign, Savonea!” and “Justice, not corruption!”. “You change complete, like socks”, they also shouted.
