A 19-year-old man from Slatina lost his life on Saturday, after the car he was driving caught fire in a road accident in the area of Găneasa.

The firefighters of the Slatina Detachment intervened with a firefighting vehicle, an extrication vehicle and a SMURD crew. When crews arrived, the driver was stuck in the car and unconscious, the car engulfed in flames.
The young man was extracted with the help of extrication accessories, but without vital signs, showing burns on the entire surface of his body.
