The University of Craiova announced on Wednesday that the Portuguese Hugo Pina (41 years old) is the new head of the scouting department.
The appointment of Pina comes a week after the departure of Fabio Torres, who had joined the team from “Ion Oblemenco” in the summer of this year. And a month after Filipe Coelho, another Lusitanian, was installed on the technical bench.

“Welcome to the Science family, Hugo Pina! The Universitatea Craiova club announces the appointment of the Portuguese Hugo Pina as scouting director.
He worked for 5 years as a scout for the Portuguese team Estoril Praia. We wish him much success in his new mission and as many successes as possible with the white-blue family!”, the statement of the group from Bănie states.
As a footballer, Hugo Pina played only in Portugal and Spain, for Belenenses, Sporting Lisbon, Olivas e Moscavidee, Cordoba, CD Guadalajara, GD Ribeirao, Lousada, Oriental, Torreense, Atletico CP, Mafra, Leiria, Sintrense, 1 Dezembro, Casa Pia and Sintrense. He retired in the summer of 2020.
