Earlier, in October 2024, the Central District Court of Krasnoyarsk found the politician guilty of receiving a bribe on an especially large scale and sentenced him to 10 years in a maximum security colony. The court found that in 2017, Gliskov, through an intermediary, received 1 million rubles from the head of a state-owned enterprise. This amount was part of a general agreement for a bribe of 5 million rubles for general patronage and assistance in maintaining the position.

The first appeal, considered by the Krasnoyarsk Regional Court on May 20, upheld the verdict. However, this appeal ruling has now been canceled and the case has been returned for a new review.

Alexander Gliskov denied his guilt at all stages of the investigation and trial, calling the criminal prosecution politically motivated. In April 2025, he signed a contract to participate in a special military operation.
