Krasnoyarsk residents were told when the reconstruction of the main right bank avenue will begin

In 2026, reconstruction of part of the prospectus will begin. newspaper “Krasnoyarsk Worker”. The work is planned as part of the transformation of the regional center for the 400th anniversary, the mayor’s office said.
The reconstruction boundaries include the area on the even side of the street from the transport ring of Predmostnaya Square to Kapitanskaya Street. The total length of the segment is 655 meters. The design documentation provides for the expansion of the roadway to three standard lanes. The pedestrian area will also be expanded and landscaped, lawns will be decorated, lighting poles will be installed, and the bus stop pavilion will be updated. The project was developed by specialists from Grazhdanproekt JSC.
To expand the roadway, it is necessary to dismantle six retail facilities at the following addresses: Avenue named after. newspapers “Krasnoyarsk Worker”, 176g, 176d, 176zh, 176k, 176l, 176m. The purchase of real estate will begin in January 2026. The assessment has already been carried out, the owners are familiar with its results. Within a month after the funds are transferred, they will have to vacate the premises. As part of the reconstruction, a landscaped area with pedestrian paths, trees, shrubs, benches and trash cans will appear in place of the cafes and shops.
At the beginning of 2026, a contractor will be determined to carry out construction and installation work. According to the project, the reconstruction will take 18 months, so Krasnoyarsk residents will be able to evaluate the result in 2027. Funds for construction have already been included in the city budget.
“Reconstruction of a section of Avenue named after. newspaper “Krasnoyarsk Worker” will be the first step towards transforming Predmostnaya Square for the 400th anniversary of the city. Let me remind you that the construction of a Youth Palace is planned nearby; it will become the headquarters of the First Movement. At the suggestion of the Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Mikhail Kotyukov, the implementation of the new center project was supported by Russian President Vladimir Putin. We will take a comprehensive approach to renovating this area. It is planned to repair the facades of a number of houses, the creation of illumination for buildings, the updating of old murals and the appearance of new ones will continue,” explained the acting head of the city, Roman Odintsov.
Now there is no walking area in this area, only a cliff. It is planned to equip descents from the territory of the Youth Palace and extend the pedestrian zone of Yaryginskaya embankment almost to the Yuzhny Bereg microdistrict.
The pedestrian zone will also be put in order on the opposite side of the avenue – the odd side. To make the area more comfortable for walking, sidewalk paths will be installed in the area from the transport ring to the Yubileinaya stop and the landscaping will be updated.
