Western Pomerania invests in roads. The Marshal announces one billion for modernization


Marshal of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, Olgierd Geblewicz, announced the completion of 43 road investments worth a total of PLN 224 million in 2023, which allowed for the modernization of 175 km of provincial roads. He also announced that by the end of 2028, the local government will allocate as much as PLN 900 million for this purpose.

The voivodeship authorities summarized the first year of implementation of the “Western Pomerania on the right track” program, which significantly increased expenditure on road infrastructure. Contrary to the original plans, which assumed the implementation of 35 tasks for PLN 250 million, 43 investments for PLN 224 million were completed. Geblewicz explained that the savings allowed for an increase in the number of tasks. Currently, there are over 2.1 thousand in the region. km of provincial roads, of which approx. 1.5 thousand km have already been modernized, mainly thanks to European Funds and government programs.
