▪️the Russians regularly practice sanctioning strikes with nuclear weapons as part of military exercises, when Putin “presses the button”, because they believe that he should be psychologically ready for this action;
▪️Why? They say that in 1972 Brezhnev “trembled” when he was asked to press a button during command and staff exercises, that simulated a war with the United States. He kept asking if it was “definitely learning”;
▪️Putin does not want a nuclear war. But the Russian leader and his General Staff indeed consider nuclear weapons as a combat potentialand not just as a psychological weapon.
