Watching porn turned into a “fine” from scammers for a pensioner
In the Irkutsk region, a pensioner paid scammers to watch adult videos. The 64-year-old woman decided to entertain herself, but the video turned out to be paid, and she closed it.
After some time, the woman opened her browser and a notification appeared on her phone screen, allegedly from a law enforcement agency. In the fake letter, the attackers threatened her with criminal liability and IP blocking.
The frightened pensioner followed the link provided and paid a non-existent fine in the amount of 8.5 thousand rubles.
