Everyone who swims knows this annoyance: he put on his glasses and a minute later everything blurred, as if in fog. I have to come up every now and then to wipe the glass. It seems that you can’t do without an expensive product. But there is a simple method that works better than store-bought sprays and costs pennies.
We will tell you about a convenient and hygienic option: a solution based on water and liquid soap. It creates an invisible film on the lenses that prevents condensation from forming droplets.
How to prepare and apply:
- Take a small spray bottle.
- Pour 1 tablespoon of warm water and add a drop of unscented liquid soap or baby shampoo.
- Shake.
- Before swimming, open your glasses and apply 1 light spray inside each lens.
- Blend with your finger or soft cloth until transparent.
- Don't wash it off.
Soap makes the surface hydrophilic. The moisture is distributed in an even layer and not in cloudy drops. Unlike saliva, this solution leaves no odor, does not cause irritation and works more stable. It also contains silicones, which over time spoil the coating on new glasses.
The effect lasts the entire swim even in the hot water of a jacuzzi or a salty wave. And if you swim often, update your composition every 2-3 days.
