President Karol Nawrocki has decided to limit the program of his visit to Hungary only to the summit of the Visegrad Group presidents in Esztergom – said the head of the International Policy Bureau, Marcin Przydacz, on Sunday.

Przydacz noted that this happened in connection with the visit to Moscow by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban and its context.

The Hungarian Prime Minister met with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday in Moscow.

“President Karol Nawrocki consistently supports finding real ways to end the war in Ukraine caused by the Russian Federation,” the head of the presidential BPM noted in the entry.

“Referring in his policy to the legacy of President Lech Kaczyński, who emphasized that Europe's security depends on solidarity action, also in the field of energyin connection with Prime Minister Viktor Orban's visit to Moscow and its context, President K. Nawrocki decided to limit the program of his visit to Hungary only to the summit of the presidents of the Visegrad Group in Esztergom,” Przydacz reported.

The head of the International Policy Bureau noted that Nawrocki “together with the presidents of the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary will discuss security and cooperation in the Central European region.”

The president was supposed to be in Hungary for two days – on Wednesday in Esztergom at the summit of the Visegrad Group presidents, and on Thursday in Budapest with an official visit, during which he was to meet with Hungarian President Tamas Sulyok and Prime Minister Orban. (PAP)
