The independent candidate Nicuşor Dan stated on Tuesday evening, during the debate from Antena 3 CNN, that he did the army at the artillery, in Bacău, specifying that he fired, during the military internship, only a few dozen cartridges, in the context in which in Romania for the last years of the communist regime there were “savings”.
“I made the army, I was the last promotion that made nine months. I made the army at the artillery, in Bacău, in 1988-1989. It was a period when all Romania was economically and we did a lot of theory and a little practice. The whole army drew 50 cartridges or maybe 30,” said Nicuşor Dan.
He said that only in the last month of the army he was in the polygon to shoot.
“After we made the theory, in the last month of the army we went and drew on a true polygon with the cannon, four to five kilometers from Bacău. There were cannons of those old ones, some of the Second World War.
The mayor of the Capital also explained that, immediately after college, he studied for several years in France and thus remained “with the rank of corporal or sergeant”.
“Because I did the six years of studies in France, immediately after the faculty, they did not find me when I had to become a non-commissioned officer, so I was left with caps or sergeant. The situation to make mandatory military internships ”, added the independent candidate to the supreme function in the state.
