Marius Șumudică launched new criticisms towards Rapid, the team he coached in the 2024-2025 period, after the Giulești team lost 0-3 against CFR Cluj.

Şumudică pointed to two transfers made by Rapid in the summer – respectively to Antoine Baroan (25 years old) and Timotej Jambor (22 years old).

The former coach of Giulești believes that the two are not valuable enough for a team with claims to the title, writes GOLAZO.ro.

“God forbid, I also saw Baroan. I saw that Rapid paid 400,000 on him. Well, if you put the 400,000 euros they paid him and add the player's salary, you can never again say that you gave a lot of money to Boupendza. Let him stop crying for the money they gave to Boupendza, may God forgive him. He is incomparable. Boupendza came free and was sold for 800,000 euros.

Baron cannot be a title attacker. He's not a 400,000 striker. Jambor isn't a million dollar player at this point either. Two missed transfers”, said Marius Șumudică.
